I am in my ninth year of teaching preschool at
C.C.N.S.
I am married to Don, who is a project consultant at
Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance. We have three
children, Lindsay (23), Jesse (20), and Julia (15).
All three children went through the CCNS program,
with Lindsay being there in its first year of existence.
I am currently the Cherub Choir Director at
Wauwatosa Presbyterian Church, which consists
of 4 through 7 year olds. Music is a very important
part of my life. I have sung in community, church,
high school and college choirs . In my free time, I
love to exercise, (walking, yoga, bicycling,
cross-country skiing) and tend to my flower
gardens. I love all kinds of theatre and music
venues. My greatest joy outside of school is
spending time with my famly.
I have had several jobs in my career, but have
found what I truly love in working with preschoolers.
I believe that teaching this age is a golden
opportunity to encourage creativity, curiosity, and
social skills in children as they transition into a
learning community.
The best thing about Curiosity Corner is the
atmosphere of positive interaction and respect that
is shared with children, parents, teachers and
administration. I view my role in the classroom as
a facilitator for each child's learning experience in a
safe, pleasant environment that fosters
independence and growth. Truly a joyful place to be!
