Teaching preschool children is a privilege. I
recognize the importance of providing children a
positive first school experience. Supporting
children's growth and development by offering a
nurturing environment is a priority for me as a
teacher.
I have two children who attended CCNS. We had
such a wonderful experience as a family that the
CCNS program inspired me to pursue teaching. My
degree is in Marketing, so I took courses to become
certified in preschool education. Once my children
were in school, I began substituting at a couple of
preschools. I was very excited when I was offered a
teaching position at CCNS.
Through my training courses, I really began to
comprehend the importance of play. Hands-on
learning through play is essential for establishing
the solid building blocks needed to learn. Providing
plenty of enriching play opportunities is a priority for
me and CCNS. Creating a welcoming classroom
that encourages children to interact positively and
respectfully with each is another priority of mine.
