My first experience teaching was in 1980 at daycare
center on the east side of Milwaukee. After 5 years of
teaching my husband and I had our first child and I
became a stay-at-home Mom for 13 years. After that,
I became the administrator and teacher at Curiosity
Corner Nursery School.
My husband and I have been married for 27 years
and have 3 children, Laura 22 , Karen 20 and
Andrew 17. ALL 3 of our children went to CCNS and
what I especially liked about CCNS at the time was
that it was a loving, nurturing, ‘true’ preschool where
our children learned to LOVE school.
In the spare time that life grants me, I enjoy reading,
exercising, teaching Vacation Bible School, and the
senior highs at Wauwatosa Presbyterian Church.
However, my most treasured activity is being a Mom
and wife.
I believe that children need to feel loved, confident,
and secure for learning to really take place.
Preschoolers love to play and that is the best way
they learn as well as by the examples we provide. I
am proud to be a part of the staff at CCNS because
of its philosophy and practices toward teaching
children at this age.
